What is Sintered Stone?
Like Quartz, Sintered Stone is a manufactured product made from a base of natural stone. Depending on the manufacturer, Quartz has a base of 88%-95% natural quartz stone, mixed with pigments, polymers and resins which is what bonds the slab together.
Sintered Stone is different in that it is made entirely from natural materials which are formed into incredibly strong and durable slabs which have countless applications. This process is called sintering.
Features:
1, the fouling resistance
It is non-porous, so it does not absorb liquids, and common or stubborn stains are usually easy to remove from the surface. In addition, the Sintered Stone resists most chemicals, does not react with common acids, and is able to remain flat and clean.
2, heat resistant,
Sintered Stone is manufactured at extremely high temperatures and thus absorbs heat. Hot POTS and other cooking utensils placed on the slab will not damage the slab due to heat.
3, prevent scratch
Sintered Stone resists scratches. Like granite and quartz, it’s hard to scratch.
4, hard and durable
Sintered Stone countertops are very hard, durable and can withstand most shocks. In fact, they are second only to stone or quartz in durability and are generally impervious to wear and tear.
5, ultraviolet light resistance
Sintered Stone is UV resistant, which means it doesn’t fade in sunlight, making it an excellent choice for outdoor kitchen countertops, as well as for exterior walls.
